Why Your Support Matters
This documentary is more than just a film. It’s a tribute to the strength, resilience, and passion of the people of Rwanda and their emerging cycling culture. By supporting this project, you are not only helping us tell their story, but also empowering the next generation of athletes in one of Africa’s most exciting cycling communities.
Your contribution will directly support the production of the film, from filming and editing to the final release and promotion. It will also provide essential resources for young Rwandan riders to continue training, competing, and developing their skills. How to Support

SHIFT UP FOR RWANDA
At the heart of this documentary is Shift Up for Rwanda, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the development of cycling culture and young athletes in Rwanda. The project is led by Don Ailinger, the director of the film, who also serves as the co-chair of the organization.
Alongside him is Daniel Gathof, a long-time supporter and chairman of Shift Up for Rwanda, who has been working closely with the people featured in this film for years.
